This heavy duty clasp is made of antiqued silver finished metal and is strong enough to hold any heavy weight cloak or garment. This clasp is also large enough and strong enough to operate as a belt buckle. The clasp is two pieces sliding inside each other to form a strong and elegant oval shaped closure. (More customer reviews)Ordered these for my mother who had recently purchased a Brother CS6000I sewing machine, with uses the larger (11.5mm, 7/16th-inch) bobbins. Although (at least at the time of purchase) this product appeared when you searched for the correct Brother part number AND the CS6000I appeared as a buying suggestion on this item's product page, it is important to note that these bobbins are of the smaller type, therefore NOT compatible with the Brother CS6000I. Since "customers who bought this product also bought" the CS6000I, it looks as if it might be a common mistake.
The product itself seems to be of good quality if you need the smaller bobbins, but the important compatibility information that is present on the back of the packaging is missing on the product page.

(More customer reviews)This item arrived on time and as described. I have had it for a few weeks now and am enjoying the new ease with which I can tailor store-bought as well as handmade items. Since it is impossible to create a form for everyone I will offer up some tips for using a dress form if an exact fit is really important: Purchase a bra that you already wear and like and a pair of those support-type girdle briefs. Have a friend measure you everywhere (a good sewing book should be helpful with where to measure) and pad the form as needed to match your exact shape. For pads I used nylons and stuffing from a pillow. This creates a true double of your form, and allows you more places to attach pins, since the fabric of the form is a bit difficult to attach pins to. Also, for altering hems or heavy items, you may want to make a few sand bags to place on the legs of the form.

Grace Z44-FF Pro No-Baste, Tiltable Hand Quilting Frame Review

(More customer reviews)While the concept is wonderful - who wouldn't love a no baste hand quilting frame - the reality is that this frame is extremely cumbersome. I spent days sanding and staining the pieces. But that was nothing compared to assembling it and moving it from the garage into the house by myself. It is stunningly time consuming to tighten the little screws and all the bolts and knobs, load the backing, batting and quilt top correctly and evenly and it takes up a solid one third of my living room. However, if you make it through all that, it's quite nice for the actual quilting. I'm not sure I'd recommend it to anyone - especially if you live alone and have to manhandle this by yourself ... and I'm not one to back down from a challenge.

For years I have used Stitch Witchery and it is a fine product, BUT unexpectedly I came upon a product called Steam-A-Seam 2 Double Stick Fusible l/2" tape. It is so easy to use. It sticks to the fabric so all that is needed is to fold the fabric, enclosing the tape, and then press a steam iron on top for about 10-15 seconds. So easy. So fast. Great product.
