(More customer reviews)I purchased this for a specific need, to be able to iron within the embroidery hoop space with a fusible stabilizer. I had several tee shirts to embroider and wanted to hoop the stabilizer but not the shirts to prevent any hoop burn. I tried several methods including using a regular iron to attach the shirt and then hoop the stablizer, wasn't particularly pleased. With this little tool, I hooped the fusible and could perfectly lay the shirt on top, pin it exactly where I wanted it and then get in there with this little iron. Works like a charm, and gets hot enough to fuse. There are 4 heat settings and I used level 3 to fuse, it was a poly shirt so I didn't want to try 4. It was quite hot enough and the fact that the iron face is adjustable made it easy to maneuver in the small space. I also have the tiny quilting iron, with the 1" sole plate, but this seemed to be better for me.

This little iron was very handy for these little seams, and very convenient to have right next to the machine. After purchasing this iron many of my friends had me order them one when they saw how well this worked. Not having to keep a large iron on during the time that one is sewing or getting up and down to press one seam is a great energy saver too.

Clover Mini Iron II The Adapter Review

(More customer reviews)I just purchased the Mini Iron from Clover. I like to sew pocketbooks and found that it was helpful to be able to press a seam open that was in an area too small for my iron. I am able to press my own bias tape also. This iron will get very hot so you need to test the fabric so that you wont scorch it. But this is a good thing. Better than not getting hot enough. The stand that comes with it seems to hold the iron away from my table and I have not had difficulties with burning my hand or fingers. It does take a little while to heat up, so plan accordingly. I am sure I will find more uses for this little iron as time goes on. I enjoy not getting steam burns while pressing tape.

(More customer reviews)This is a pretty handy set. I've used it on several quilting projects and a few appliques over the past few months, and it's done everything I need in a craft iron.
Pros: The cord is a nice, long length that allows me to really maneuver around my projects without getting tied up in the cord or needing to be right next to my outlet. It comes with several tips for the iron so if I need a particular shape to get in around appliques or buttons or such, I can usually find the right tip for the job. I also like that it came with an adapter to change out the tips. I've never had a problem with scorching, so the temperature setting seems good.
Cons: I wish there were a tip that was just a little larger in this set. I understand this is a "mini" crafting iron, but most of the tips are designed specifically to get around buttons or in hard-to-reach areas, and a more "standard", flat tip might be nice.
