(More customer reviews)I bought this book one month ago and the first thing I did was read all the intro stuff about supplies, rotary cutting, etc. After looking at all the patterns and pictures, I knew I had the courage to break away from the normal pastel, pale baby quilts that the ladies of my family produce and that's just what I did. I bought a bunch of supplies and fabric for my first two quilts. The first one took 4.5 hours, and that included machine quilting it (noone in my family does that) and binding it (instead of turning it out like most of my family does). I was thrilled. The next (which was bigger) took about 6.5 hours. They were bright and bold and I've never been more excited about anything. If I (and all I know about sewing is how to do the basics for mending and such) can take this book and make two quilts in 11 hours, anyone can do it! The third, which I doubled the pattern for a toddler, took about 20 hours and I love it! This book is the best!! And I bought another one of hers, too.
