I bought this pattern to make a djellaba for a friend's birthday after a we had made a couple of trips to Morocco and she said how much she wanted one.
The pattern has some technical faults in that the sizing is a bit off - you will need to check the pattern against your own measurements for an accurate fit and the piece for the back neck facing is too small so you will have to cut your own. I got round this (and avoided using the front facing which I couldn't work out at all!) by using bias binding to face the neck seam. This gave a much neater finish.
Also - a really important point - the hood is totally the wrong design and I had to recut this completely. The hood on the pattern is gathered on to the neckline and has a rounded top - more like something you would see on an 18th century costume than on a djellaba. A djellaba hood is pointed and hangs down the back of the garment when not in use and it is not so full that it has to be gathered on to the neckline.
Having said this - the shape of the garment and the raglan sleeves are authentic and easy to put together - but I'd check any pattern from this designer very carefully before buying another.

Duriyya's Djellaba. A modern rendition of a native Moroccan caftan-like robe with long, loose raglan sleeves. The traditional djellaba is the age-old hooded cloak of North Africa and the Near East and our version makes a wonderful cover-up for your belly dance costume. Make it in a knit velour trimmed with braid, a brocade trimmed with velvet ribbon or a lightweight wool. You might even try brightly patterned velvet finish bath towels for a different look. Separate cutting lines for small, medium and large given on same pattern.
