(More customer reviews)Just to clarify on the response from the previous reviewer. Of course this is a make-it-yourself kit. Bucilla is known for these kits and they shouldn't be penalized because the website didn't clarify this. I have over 50 of these lovely creations and consider them heirlooms to be handed down and treasured for generations to come. They certainly take time, but that's sort of the point... Within the "crafter's world" these kits are known for their excellent quality, clear instructions, washability (no dry cleaning required) and lasting bright vibrant colors. And no, I don't work for the company... :)

(More customer reviews)I have made many, many stockings and this one was the worst. The face is small and needs to be pre printed so that no embroidery is necessary on it. Very hard to get the mouth right. I will never make another one of these.
I have always been very good at embroidery but this was difficult.
I was so sick of it by the time I got it finished it wasn't even pretty. Hope you have better luck with it than I had.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this quilt for my mom to make for my daughter, who is having a baby in Nov. This will be our first grandchild!!
The quilt came and it was of such poor quality that my mother could not use it all all. The quilt is very thin, the fabric is very very cheap and rough to the touch (not something that you would use for a baby!)
It is a "printed cross stitch" but the printing is so light that half the quilt you can only see a trace of the print! No one could sew these stitches.
I emailed Amazon about the problem and to "Supermarket" who is the seller of this item.
That has been weeks ago.... I have sent 5 emails... I got two replys from them .... One from Amazon saying to contact the seller ... which I had already done ... and one from the Seller saying "return item to bla bla address!!"
One line reply..... except there was no packing slip in the bag with the quilt. So how can I return the quilt and get credit for the item back to my charge card? I emailed again stating .... NO PACKING SLIP ... HOW DO I RECEIVE CREDIT FOR QUILT?
once again a one line reply .. "return item to bla bla address"
I wrote Amazon and the seller again .. copy pasted all the email I had sent and the reply I had received... and I asked the same question ... NO PACKING SLIP ... HOW DO I RECEIVE CREDIT FOR QUILT?
No reply from Amazon or Supermarket!
This is the worst customer service I have ever seen! I understand that sometimes an item is not what it should be. It is not the fault of Amazon or Supermarket ... but to not have a way to return an item for weeks and to not respond to several emails is not acceptable!

(More customer reviews)Don't buy this item. The afghan is worthless. I basically ending up pay for a pattern and thread because I had to go out and buy an afghan to sew the pattern on to. Even my husband looked at the afghan and said it was crap. The afghan is so thin and poorly made that it would be next to impossible to sew on. Try to find just the pattern and buy an afghan or order something cheaper so you can get the pattern and buy yourself an afghan. I ended up spending another $14 to buy an afghan to use.

Overall, I was happy that I purchased this product and created the stocking. This isn't something I would do once a year since it took 50+ hours to complete. If you knew how to sew coming into the project, I'm sure it would take less time. Certainly worth the end product, and it's a great feeling once it starts shaping up.

This year I'm adding to the tradition and making one for each of my parents. I made this particular stocking for my dad and it turned our amazing! The stocking is time consuming but worth it for the final product because it doesn't look cheezy and homemade. For those considering other felt stockings, I just want to point out that the quality of Bucilla to me, is better than some of the other brands and I prefer their style of instructions.
