(More customer reviews)Does not come with enough thread. Even if you are careful on how you use your thread, there is not enough by a long shot. However I was determined to finish this cross stitch, as I LOVE mermaids. I had to order another kit to complete this one, doubling the price. I researched and found that Dimensions brand is notorious for this problem. I will not be buying Dimensions brand again!

(More customer reviews)When I first started needle crafting, I used a hoop. I hated the rings and marks the hoops would leave on the fabric. I went looking for a frame that was adjustable, sturdy, and could keep my fabric clean and taut while I worked. I work on many different sized projects, and often have more than one in progress at any given time, so I bought these frames in every size I could find.
Here is a breakdown of the pros and cons I found with this product:
PRO
1) The frame is very easy to put together.
2) The frame is lightweight.
3) You can easily adjust the frame to fit your fabric size.
4) You can easily adjust the position of the fabric as you work, which is especially helpful with larger images.
5) The frame keeps your fabric taut while you work, which helps keep your stitches even.
6) I used to put a thin piece of masking tape around the edges of my fabric, but there is no need to with this frame.
CON
1) If you aren't careful, it is possible for your floss to get stuck or wrapped around the wing nuts that hold the frame together. This is a minor problem and can be fixed by purchasing scroll frame knobs, which would replace the wing nuts (Hardwood Scroll Frame Knobs-Set Of 4). I think the knobs look nicer than the wing nuts anyway.

(More customer reviews)I received this for Christmas from by son. It worked up so cute. The cat has such personality and looks even better than the picture. The tree does get a little tiresome, there are so many different shades of brown and grey, but worth it. The chart was large and easy to read and the colors were easily separated as the chart showed which bundle and how many strands each color was in. Great project.

Easy to put together, nicely made (its hard wood and I was concerned about rough edges, but its really nicely sanded and treated), its very easy to put the item you are working on in the clamp, and it is also easy to adjust the angle to get really comfy. I am working on a large cross stitch peice roughly 2feet by 1.5 feet which I have in a 17 by 17 inch frame and this stand holds it easily. It folds down to a really manageable size and so I plan to take it with me when I go on vacation in August. I can have it on my lap and put my feet up on the recliner so my back is so much happier. Highly recommended.
