(More customer reviews)I love O'lipfa rulers! This ruler's unique feature is an lip along one of the edges. This lip can be used to alight the ruler in a perfectly perpendicular alignment, which gives you results every time - quick and easy! The use the triagle rules in combination with lined cutting mat. I align the fabric on the fabric mat so it alinged along the lines on the mat and then use the edge of the mat to hook the lip of the ruler. Perfect plumb lines every times, makes it easy to make perfect and equal triangles every time.
If you don't want to use the lip, you can use the ruler in a regular way. If the fabric is on the fabric mat, the lip does not lift the ruler enough to interfere with regular cutting.
The 18'x5' ruler was the first O'lipfa ruler I bought, I liked it so much that I added a few more to my collection for other tasks. I highly recommend this product.
