(More customer reviews)I purchased this fabric to line window valances and found it easy to cut and sew, although it doesn't press very well. With non-blackout linings, I was seeing too much of the seam allowances and such when sunlight came through the valances. I didn't buy it primarily to block light per se, but to reduce the transparency of my valances as well as protest the face fabric (black) from sunlight/fading. However, it does a great job of blocking any light from coming through.

Light control 100% Blackout-the ''must have" feature for today's home hotel/motel projects and refurbishings. The "Un-Vinyl" means not a vinyl product not a laminate and will not crack peel or bubble. A built-in sound barrier wards off out-of-room noises at the window. Colors are white on one side ivory on the other.
