I had heard so many great things about Little Comet patterns, and this was my preferred style of nsppy! It couldn't be sent internationally, so a friend in the US sent me a copy (I'n in Australia!). I have made 5 nappies so far and it rally is easy peasy! This was my first nappy pattern, so a huge thumbs up from a complete newbie!!

I purchased this pattern before beginning to potty train my 21 month old daughter. I started sewing trainers in anticipation of training. We cloth diaper, and I own a serger and an industrial snap press in addition to my sewing machine. I decided to make the side snapping version of the pattern and use PUL in the wetzone, to make this superior over store bought trainers.
I had never sewn with FOE before, and although the first attempt was a bit tricky, the second attempt was nearly perfect, and I got better as I went. I use cotton knits on the sides and the inner crotch panel, and use flannel and microfiber as the soaker core. I personally added an extra snap to each wing of the trainer to prevent gaping.... I just felt that more snaps was better.
I did email the pattern creator to ask questions on the amount and type of FOE that she recommended, because I had never purchased it before and needed to buy it online as it is not usually found in fabric stores. She was extremely personable and helpful, and we conversed about the patterns and the pieces I had made.
The pattern is very clear. It contains all of the sizes you should need. I can't wait to make more this week, now that we are actually potty training, these are my favorite trainers we own, and we have four other brands/varieties!

Super easy pattern to put together. Will admit I only glanced at the directions but they seem to be good. I've made the soakers out of wool and fleece, the fit works on both.

I've only ever sewn the diaper covers from this pattern so far, but I love them! They have gussets, which is totally the trick for containing b/f poop. We've yet to have anything escape :)
They are easy to sew and look great - and best of all they're super quick! I especially like the umbilical cord scoop on the n/b diapers. It doesn't need to snap down or anything, the pattern has been very cleverly designed so it sits nicely under the belly button. I love the idea of putting the PUL on the inside and a print on the outside - it means I have bright and colorful covers with a little more excitement than plain fabrite colors.

This pattern rocks! It fits my kiddo like a glove and is super trim. The pattern comes together fast and the directions are excellent. Highly recommend this pattern and all the other LCT patterns.

Best of all the Little One Size Diaper Pattern is actually two patterns, one designed for front snap and the other specifically for side snap. Instructions for making FOE covers, T&T fitteds and AIO's and even serged fitteds and AIO's all in one pattern with no modifications needed.
