I now know I must be sure before one click. I could have tried to return the needles, but that was too much trouble, so I kept them. I paid 12.00 but could have purchased them locally for 4.00. I learned a lesson.

It was hard to tell from some of the item descriptions which belt I needed. I found this one and it was the correct belt. My Singer is one that has the knee peddle. Very greatful to still be able to enjoy sewing with that Singer.

(More customer reviews)I needed a good quality machine for very regular (4+ hour/day) sewing when I bought this. It has not let me down. It did break when I tried (not on purpose!) sewing through 1/4" of metal. The service people at Sears are great at fixing these and I had it back good as new.
My FAVORITE feature of this machine is the push button available (not required) to start and stop the sewing and the speed control. It makes it easy to get a nice even stitch and makes it possible to sew in places where you don't have much space. I can even sew on the floor since I don't need my foot out for the foot pedal. This would also be very handy for a paralyzed individual without the use of legs.
The stitches are more utilitarian than they are decorative but they serve their purposes well.
The machine is nice and heavy which keeps it from bouncing around on the table when sewing. Very important. And all the gears are made of metal. This machine will last forever.

Singer 7469 Electronic Sewing Machine Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this product with such hope as a beginning quilter. I read every page of the manual(unusual for me) and then began sewing. This machine dings at you for everything from loose bobbin thread to being completely locked up. If you make the mistake of turning the wheel away from you...bye bye machine. I had to learn this on line after it was too late because the manuel fails to tell you that you can only turn the wheel forward. Wonder why they call it a wheel?? The manuel mentions that you can free arm quilt but gives no instructions as to how. My quilt was stuck in the machine with the needle down and no way to get it out except to turn the wheel (get the picture). Now I am stuck without my $300 and the nearest repair is 150 miles away. What started as an adventure is now a nightmare. Singer should be ashamed. I have friends who are sending there machines back. At least they aren't out the cost of the machine! This happened after only using it 8 times. My advise, look elsewhere and change the brand from Singer since the "help" center told me, no Singer wheel can be turned back only forward.
