Ott-Lite TrueColor 13 Watt Replacement Tube - T34J3R Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is just a light bulb, but a hard to find type and size. On the Ott Lite website, it would be nearly $30. So the Amazon price is a great deal.

Ott - Lite Truecolor Floor Lamp Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The light is very good BUT...
I replaced the lamp after about 3 years with one from Sylvania (Do It Center in SoCal have it) - just as good, much cheaper.
Also, the two parts of the tube stem thread on to an internal ferrule - probably aluminum. This ferrule takes a lot of the stress when the lamp is moved, twisted etc other than by the flexible head. Having wrapped the joint in duct tape to help relieve some stress, I bought another year or so of life. The ferrule or tube thread is now stripped on the top half and to replace it would mean complete disassembly beyond the 'knock down' it arrived as, since the cable runs through the ferrule and tubes.
I may try a 1" hose clamp to buy a bit more time before junking it...

(More customer reviews)I purchased an Ott floor lamp and the blub finally blew out. When I went to my local fabric shop to replace the bulb I found out that Ott has a new generation of bulbs that screw in and this bulb just slides in. Great service and received this promptly.

Ott-Lite OTL13MAG 13-Watt Task/Magnifier Lamp TrueColor with Flip-Down Magnifier, Dove Grey Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I purchased this light for my wife as a gift (requested). She makes her own jewelry and regular household lighting was insufficient. She uses the new light constantly and tells me it makes seeing her projects much easier. She said the light makes it easier to do the detail work and the magnifier helps when she is linking the chains and clasps.
