(More customer reviews)My wife purchased this lamp for cross stitching at night while we are watching tv. It replaces an older rattle prone cross stitch lamp. The LED is bright and allows her to direct the light to exactly where she needs it so that the light doesn't blind me while watching tv or even talking to her (the old one lit the room and tv like a runway). The magnification is great and she likes that portion. The only negative she spoke of was there is no place to clip the pattern she is following and thus has to pick it up and place it under the magnification when she needs it, but all else is great. She liked it so much she just bought another one to give to her aging dad for use while he does his crossword and game books. It will work terrific for him doing this.
