(More customer reviews)I bought a brand new Singer 2662 (not a factory re conditioned one). This was the only Singer 2662 I could find here. Anyhow, excellent machine; stitches easily; $158 at Wal-Mart; easy to use; easy to load bobbin; easy to thread; quiet; easy to operate; easy to select stitches; upholds it reputable name-Singer. This is the easiest machine you will ever use. I also have a Viking Husqvarna 6460 and this Singer is 1000 times easier!!!

The Singer Model 2662 is a 62-stitch function machine with many features to make your sewing projects so easy. With a 1-step buttonhole you will be able to make a whole row of identical buttonholes quickly. Two extra special features on the 2662 is the adjustable needle placement so that you can get your line of stitching exactly where you want it and the ability to lower the feed dogs (this prevents the machine from feeding the fabric through the sewing area giving you full control of stitch placement especially useful for creative stitching). The machine also features an automatic needle threader; a top drop in bobbin and easy bobbin winder; adjustable presser foot pressure (useful for heavier fabrics); a free arm; horizontal threading for smoother stitching; and adjustable stitch density (especially helpful for use on buttonholes on light or heavy weight fabrics). With the machine comes an instruction manual (in English, French, and Spanish) to show you how to get the most from your machine. The 62-stitch functions include everything from basic construction (straight stitching, stretch stitching, elastic application) to a little more advanced construction stitches (different overedge stitches, blind hem, button sewing) to several decorative stitches (crescent stitch, feather stitch, applique, monogramming). The machine also has a compartment for storing the accessories and there are a lot of accessories! You will receive a pack of needles, 4 bobbins, standard presser foot, buttonhole foot, zipper foot, rolled hem foot, blind hem foot, satin stitch foot, overcast foot, dust cover, small bottle of oil, 2 spool caps, 2 screwdrivers, seam ripper/lint brush.
