They dont make them like they use to. Poor, cheap quality. needles bend and break. The thread constantly breaks. I was sewing neoprene boots which are pretty easy to sew but the awl kept bending the needles and breaking the thread. I was really amazed how cheap these products are. The old ones use to last forever. Maybe that was the problem. They worked to good, so they had to make cheap poor quality ones now so you would have to break them and buy more. The old saying is true. " you get what you pay for."
