(More customer reviews)Within seconds of discovering this nest in their cage, my rats had tunneled underneath the removable lining. Even with the addition of other blankets above it, they still enjoy burrowing underneath that little circle of fleece. Not only do they enjoy sleeping under it, but it's also a favorite place for stashing treasures such as food. The only downside is that the cardboard core of the hammock itself absorbs their pee badly enough that I have wash it after only two days, but this product endures the washing machine great! It's been very durable and has withstood months of use. A good quality product. The thick sides are very comfy, and I think the reason that my rats haven't tried to chew the actual bed is, again, because of that wonderful removable fleece. With other products that have sewn on fleece floors, they always try to rip off the fleece for nest making, and in this product they can actually do that without ruining it! So far the only thing they've chewed on is the product tag that was sewn into the lining. As an added bonus, because I rotate what's inside their cage, even when this bed isn't one of the ones in their cage, I'm still able to use that removable fleece as a blanket in the beds that are.
I think this product is a good buy for rat owners. It's durability has made it worth the money. It comes in a variety of colors. I got mine in a beautiful diamond pattern that's a mix of white, navy blue, wine, and green.
