(More customer reviews)The plastic templates are great tools once they are properly installed on the table behind the long arm machine. In order to use the templates with ease, it is necessary to put bolts through the templates and the table to lock them down. For someone who is not mechanically inclined the set up can be tedious. It is not intuitively obvious which direction to move the stylus in order to achieve another row towards or away from you. It might be helpful if there were more illustrations showing the possible combinations of patterns or repeated patterns. The best thing about using these templates is the ease in moving the long arm machine with the stylus in the appropriate groove. Overall this is a great product at a somewhat reasonable price!
