It is 2 power so its perfect for reading. With the flourescent bulb its easy on the eyes too.
I adjusted it with no trouble.
Switch right on the base and a cover over the magnifying lens to keep dust out or to enable you to use as a plain lamp.
I like it and use it often. Keep it next to my coffee pot on the kitchen counter.

Great looking magnifying lamp for the tool bench or desk top.Measures approx 17" tall when extended. Has a 4" diameter magnifying lens with 2x power magnification.Flourescent bulb.Well balanced for standing however you need it with a switch on the base.The lens has a flip top cover to keep the light down on the table when you are just using it for a lamp.
