Maybe it's just such a well known fact they didn't think it needs to be in the product description, but you can't wash the garment with the tape still on. IMHO you're better off breaking out the iron and using Dritz(R) Stitch Witchery Regular Tape - 5/8 Inch x20yd. If you need a quick fix & have no time to spare, this tape may come in handy, though. It does remove cleanly. I hemmed my one year old's pants for picture day and they did not come down although he only wore them for 2 hours at most.
