I bought this pattern for use with a steampunk costume. I would consider myself an average seamstress. The pattern itself looks delightful, is well-packaged, and has lots of information. Unfortunately, I found the directions confusing much of the time until everything was laid out. The bigger problem I had was that the pattern was made out of regular white paper/multipurpose paper, instead of the thin tissue paper that's used by most pattern companies today. I find that using multipurpose paper, especially for large patterns, makes for extremely tricky pinning. This pattern is already a bit complicated, so I was very nervous about the final product with how much difficulty I was having with pinning.
The pattern is excellently drafted, and is definitely a unique piece, but you're gonna have a bit of a fight to get it!
