(More customer reviews)I bought this pattern for use with a steampunk costume. I would consider myself an average seamstress. The pattern itself looks delightful, is well-packaged, and has lots of information. Unfortunately, I found the directions confusing much of the time until everything was laid out. The bigger problem I had was that the pattern was made out of regular white paper/multipurpose paper, instead of the thin tissue paper that's used by most pattern companies today. I find that using multipurpose paper, especially for large patterns, makes for extremely tricky pinning. This pattern is already a bit complicated, so I was very nervous about the final product with how much difficulty I was having with pinning.
The pattern is excellently drafted, and is definitely a unique piece, but you're gonna have a bit of a fight to get it!

TV299 - 1901 Split Skirt. Multisized XS-3XL. This pattern for a split skirt is taken from a tailoring guide of 1901. The Split Riding Skirt is ankle length, and the Bicycle Skirt is calf length. The center front has buttons to close the split. The center back has double box pleats to hide the split legs. There are two side front plackets with flaps for the closure.
