And the area surrounding the hole opening made out of flimsy cardboard, not sturdy plastic like the original. But for the price you are paying with these compare to the original, not bad. You get what you pay for.

These bags are designed to fit Riccar Supra Lite upright vacuums, the Consumer Report RSL-4 8 lb. upright. These bags are Ultra-Filtration (micro-lined) to capture even microscopic dust particles in the bag, as opposed to releasing into the air you breathe. Riccar and Simplicity are sister companies, and these bags will also work in all Simplicity Freedom lightweight upright vacuums. The Commercial division of Riccar/Simplicity is called Powr-Flite. (More customer reviews)I've already reviewed the Miele vacuum cleaner itself, along with the Turbo brush, so I'm a fan of the pricy-but-worth-it-if-you-can-afford-it sucker. If you're reading this, you're probably one too, so I'm not gonna talk about the vacuum cleaner on a net page selling the bags. I'm just going to relate information on the box about what Miele vacuums this goes with, on the theory that's the main question you have. It's not entertaining, but perhaps it's useful:
S241 - S256 i

The box comes with 5 bags (they;re strong, I've discovered), 1 dust compartment filter, and one "super air clean filter." Miele uses a HEPA filter, known for its allegy protection. Long-lasting, worth it.

(More customer reviews)I just love my two Miele cannister vacuums, they're great. We live on all tile floors with 10 dogs and a few cats, so everyday I vacuum up a ton of animal hair, and I go through vacuum bags quite frequently. I'm not paying $19 for four bags, that's ridiculous! I e-mailed Miele, they told me about how much better filtration the new bags afforded. I explained that filtration quality means nothing when cleaning very coarse animal hair. I'm not living in a "clean Room" at Intel!
I noticed that Bosch has also raised their cannister bag prices, so maybe it's a German thing. I started buying generic "FJM" 5 bags for $10 from Amazon, which work just fine. These cheap bags have a cardboard connection at top, instead of plastic, but doesn't matter. So I'm happy now. I'm not paying $5 per Miele bag!
