(More customer reviews)This little nesting box set took care of fishing lure supplies that used to take up five big craft boxes, freeing up a couple feet of shelf space. I actually ran out of stuff to put in the compartments. We're getting a couple more to take care of the kids' beads and findings for jewelery crafts, and I want another for nails and screws. The tube through the middle even takes care of small tools.

Deep Utility Organizer-4-9 Adjustable Compartments, Natural with Purple Latches Review

(More customer reviews)This box (Creative Options/Plano 2-3630-80 Deep Utility Box) has between 3 and 8 compartments not 4-9. There are three long horizontal compartments built in. You also get 5 movable sub-dividers (3+5=8).
The front compartment (i.e. near the latches) can not be subdivided. The middle compartment can be subdivided at 5 points 1-34" apart making six equal sized compartments in that row. The back compartment can also be subdivided at 5 points but closer together in the middle. The two ends are about 2-1/2" wide and the center four divisions are 1-5/16" apart (usable space would be about 1-1/8"). I suppose, if you had extra dividers, say from another box, you could actually get 13 sections in one box.
Lid and base are molded separately with a snap together hinge. The catches snap crisply closing the box easily and securely. Dividers and sub-dividers meet the lid flush so I am sure this is going to work quite well for my purpose...sorting and storing my sons' tiny Lego pieces. (I also ordered a few other Plano boxes in other configurations and am waiting for them to arrive so I can compare and have a variety of compartment sizes for the various shape Legos we have.)
